CAMPAIGNS

The Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Trades Union Council is currently involved in a number of local campaigns:

Workers’ Memorial Day – Every year, on 28 April the Trades Council marks Workers’ Memorial Day to commemorate all those who have died at work. General information on this ongoing campaign is available from the TUC here.

Living Wage Campaign – The BCP TUC plays a leading role in the campaign for a living wage in Dorset.

Anti Cuts Coalition – The BCP TUC continues to be a strong supporter of the local anti cuts group – the Bournemouth and Poole Anti Cuts Coalition (BPACC) and the Dorset People’s Assembly – and their efforts to raise issues such as cuts to disability benefits, workfare and the wider attacks on the welfare state.
